Mrs. Hanna comments about her book:
This is the type of book I wish I could have found following the death of my daughter. She left behind baby Sophie, who was nearly 11 months old. I wanted to read a book by a faithful Christian. The book I sought would have told me how much it hurts to lose a child, but that God and Christian friends will help you find peace and joy. It does not happen overnight, but you will heal. I wanted to know that someone else survived and came back from their "wide awake nightmare" to later find "Joy in the Morning." I wanted to read about how to help Sophie learn more about her mother and what we should do to help her have a happy future. The book would also need to provide in-depth Bible teaching -- not just fluff -- but something to dig my teeth into. I have written the book I longed to find for myself. Joy in the Morning also provides Bible teaching pertinent to those who are suffering through other trials in life.
